This suggested outline to a lecture (with questions and answers to follow), or for a study class or a discussion group, may be useful to help all people and groups in the world who are working hard to improve race, gender, religious, ethnic, and national-origin relations between all of humanity's wonderful and beautiful black, brown, red, white, and yellow people.
It is about adding the universal doctrines of Reincarnation and Karma into the all-important dialogue on racial, gender, religious, and ethnic relations. The correct understanding of these two natural cosmic processes as being scientific facts in Nature will go a long way in helping humanity to heal all unjust, cruel, ignorant, and socially-destructive human relations which it has created.
Although most people do not realize it, the doctrine of Reincarnation is found in both the Old and the New Testaments, the Jewish Kabala, the Koran, as well as in all of the other Scriptures in the world. Besides being taught by many of the early Church Fathers it was also taught by, to name just a few, Jesus, St. Paul, Solomon, Buddha, Krishna, Mohammed, Confucius, Zoroaster, Plato and Pythagoras. But in the year 553 it was officially declared to be heretical by the Church at the Fifth Ecumenical Council and was anathematized (cursed) -- thus Reincarnation was arbitrarily lost to Christianity.
The doctrine of Karma (which literally means "action"), known in the scientific community as the law of cause and effect ("For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction"), and in the moral and ethical arena of religion and philosophy as "As you sow, so shall you reap" and "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", is also found in every people's Scriptures.
This important set of ingredients will help to heal humanity's major root problems of separateness, selfishness and hate based on skin color, gender, religious conviction, and national origin. And here are a few ideas that, according to the accumulated wisdom of the ages, are the reasons why:
The soul, the eternal ego, the thinker, the perceiver, in its essential nature, is sexless, religionless, nationless, and colorless.
These things only apply to us during each physical incarnation -- when we are known as a personality, which is just one act in an endless drama.
With all this in mind, consider the next four ideas in the following questioning way: What social problems would these few important realities help to solve if we all, or most of us, finally realized them to be so -- or at least had a firm conviction that they are true?
(1) We have each been born into all of the physical races many times -- black, brown, red, white, and yellow -- and will continue to be in the future.
(2) We have each been born as both men and women many times -- and this too will continue in the future.
(3) We've been born into many if not all past civilizations and spoke many languages -- and this too will continue in the future for each of us.
(4) We have been born into some if not all of the major religions -- or we converted many times -- and this too will continue to be the case in the future.
Students of Theosophy, the accumulated wisdom of the ages, open-mindedly study the religions, philosophies, and sciences of all ancient and modern civilizations, which always includes every nation, every people, every race, every nationality, and every ethnic group.
Since many people and organizations around the world are trying hard to improve either all or some of the many social problems having to do with race, gender, religious, ethnic, and national-origin relations, everyone may want to consider adding into the various types of forums that you organize, around any of these important social issues, speakers who are students of Theosophy and who are knowledgeable of the true natural dynamics of Karma and Reincarnation, which you too will also begin to learn about on this web site.
